Has Today Been

Has Today Been

A Poem by Brett Hernan
"

Cynicism personified, as funereal as a billiard ball with an Elvis haircut reading a restaurant menu backwards over loud speaker at midnight to the entire populace of the Moon.

"

The
predilection
toward
excited
anticipation
of
the
once,
hoped
for,
delightful
promised
bounty
accompanying
the
successful
goal
acquisition,
of
the

utopian
dream,
possessed,
by
nineteen-
sixties
revolutionary
youth,
has
today
been
satisfactorily
satiated,
by
twenty
four
hour
a
day
TV.
