Laws You Just Can't Break

Laws You Just Can't Break

A Poem by Brett Hernan

There can
only be

one day
allocated
for

the memorial

to all

the battles
the wars
the war dead

and from

them

into
both
the future
and the
past

Otherwise,
we'd be

regularly commemorating

them

every day

with extra days

added
each year

Incrementally,

expansively
and
exponentially,

obviously*.

*(See 'Death Wish' starring Charles Bronson).

Concise truth. Sadly the days would be uncountable. Well-penned.
