Hmmmm. Final statement or puzzle? If reading straight through it would be a final, somber statement. If each line is taken alone, "if" can be left open to conjecture.... then, with "I..die." perhaps death happens to interrupt the conjecture? Profound. Melancholy. Leaves a chill.Forces the reader to introspect...Carpe Diem.
