Pandora

Pandora

A Poem by Brett Hernan

Inherited
memories
of a thousand
dead men
In the desert
the ruin
of a homestead
roofless
treeless
sand
swallowed
stretches
from windows
at night
by day
nothing
She approaches
and departs
with
an unexpected
kiss
