Draft one, after last night's glitchy insanity due to what looked like a DDoS attack on writerscafe.org (?)
Soft target, I suppose.
I wrote a much more developed version but couldn't save it.
Nearly finding 'The Way of All Flesh Street', eyes cried, until, they hatched as birds, flew into the sky.
Leave behind a trail of tears which become diamonds as they dry.
One earthen one emerald eye. On a beach ninety miles wide.
We turned and sighed. Zero return, no chance no need to decide.
Brett I had to Google the words in inverted commas and I'm glad I did, that seems like an interesting read. Thanks for that.
I think this is really sad. The desolation of the moment is brilliantly conveyed by the 'beach 90 miles wide' - which it may have been anyway, physically but even if it had been a few metres in breadth probably would have felt like 90 miles since in the same way the world shrinks with love it opens like a endless void when love departs.
I like this one very much my friend.

I agree with you in what you have so carefully said in your analysis, about the void...
Thanks for your invitation, my friend.
