Why girls should never date Marines

"
My name is Brenna. I'm 14 years old, 5'5, black curly hair, mocha skin, dark brown eyes and a passion for music. So there's not much about me that stands out, I'm your average looking teen. I fell hard and fast for a Marine. His name is Jorde, aka Jay. He's not your typical guy and I think that's why I've fallen so hard.

Most girls fall for the bad boy piss off their parents type. I never thought about that when looking for a boy, I just wanted someone to be able to do the three things. Love me, Protect me and make me laugh. And he could do all that and more, but listen girls, its very dangerous to date a marine. And I'll tell you why.

They know what to do to make you fall for them: Jay knows just what to say to make me fall right into his arms. And I can't help it at all, I've tried to fight the urge with no luck and I can barely keep myself away from him each day and night. I crave his touch and yet no I need to get over. He's become my drug and I need a fix each day if I don't get one I scream and cry and piss everyone off.

They're far too sexy: I don't know if it's all Marines or just him but they all seem to be so fine. Like something so sexy they should be male models not out there killing people. But holy hell when I look at his picture I swear I could faint. And that voice that has yelled at 100 men and made them piss themselves can somehow lull me to a soft sleep. His voice is just magical that way. I also think theres something so sexy about a man who can call himself one of the "Few and Proud" tehe.

That power is a drug: You get so use to being able to say "Leave me alone my boyfriends a Marine" and guys leaving you alone you forget how to fight off pervs when they leave. You also forget how scary the world is without them around. You have a safety when you date marine you don't get with anyone else. So when they leave your left feeling a little more than scared.

The Job: And the leaving without a reason...I think that's that biggest reason. When he was to run for 2 months, no reason, no word and your only thoughts are 'He's dead' you truly fall apart. You can't eat or sleep and you only want to cry. You feel this sinking feeling and your whole world falls apart. I don't know how to explain it other than Pain. Just pure pain, nothing but it.

The one reason too: But hey rules are made to be broken and there is a reason to date these bad guys. If you love one then f**k the rules nothing matters and you drag yourself to hell and back for them. I honestly can't say I haven't broken my own rule.

This is really good, powerful and sweet at the same time. I love the way that you describe the character and how strong her pull is toward the marine, it's really good and kept me hooked. Although, there is one problem you could quickly dust over and that's her age. Unless this takes place in a paralell world where marines are younger or something, then fair enough, but you should briefly put that forward so we know, as most 14 year olds I know wouldn't have a chance with getting with a marine, they're often older - I'd say 16 at the youngest maybe (don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's impossible, just very improbbable) and the marine should be in training or something if she's younger. Other than that, no issues at all here, it's great, just the age issue and that's about it from what I can see and that can be altered SO easily, there's nothing to worry about there. But good piece of writing, I love how you described him as a drug, for he - being a marine - he is both lethal and lovely at once, which is a really good comparison, actually, the more I think about it. Saying how he is dangerous, yet the affects you get from him are astounding and one knows that he should be avoided, but you just can't seem to help it! The more I think about it, the more I really like it XDD Great job here, I look forward to seeing more writing from you. Until then, farewell, mortal~

I love it! but it seems like just an intro.... I would love to see you continue it into a story that would be filled with a tragic romance and end in his MIA. This would make me cry so hard, but also smile. It sounds like it holds great potential for future expantion
