Writer

A Poem by Brenden

Architect of the writing order,
Prolonger of the important things, or the things people
suppose to be important.

Falsifier of the things people say can’t be done,
believer of the impossible. I am an achiever. I am a writer.
I sail my sea of words and hand pick each one,
taking my time articulating my next move,
as poised as a leopard before i strike. I am an achiever.
I am a writer.

Some call me crazy and some call me boring, but no neither
of these things surrenders my category. I enjoy the simple things
brought on by life, the things that lets you enjoy being alive,
some may say its average, and some may say its basic, but i say
“The things we should enjoy the most are the things in front of us
every day”. I take my time and explore my life, not just
enjoying whats in front of me but most importantly whats around me.
I am an achiever. I am a writer.

I stay to my self. I walk alone. A mystery they call me, “To each his own”.
I don’t believe in perfect stories, because i can’t write one; But i believe
we can try to make every stanza count, from birth to death, we can make
all count. I take my time and count my dimes, hoping each time they
would multiply. I talk with the most high and tell him my troubles for
only he can pop these dirty bubbles, that makes me feel like I’m always
in trouble. With him there is no limits, and to him i am like a perfect diamond,
to a crown jeweler. I am an achiever. I am a writer.

I know my limits because i will be tested, but like my writing I know I’m
carefully sought to be one of a kind in all my testings. I will stand out
and chew my competition, not in sound but in the move of my ambition,
By the stride of the steps i take towards my goal and the faith i have in
my father up above. This paper i write on will fade a way and the words i say
may never stay but will be known and in all ways feared is the faith in God i will
always share. I am an achiever. I am a writer.
