Blissful Grave

Blissful Grave

A Poem by Brenden Moran

The waves brush through my prints

I left them behind, since

I took my dive into the deep ocean, which

Embraces me in a rolling pitch

I swam out as far as the eye could see

Rested and tried to breath, the sea

Pushed into me chokingly, then

I could breathe again

I looked at the blue air with a smile

Brought my wet hands to my face, awhile

I sat there and pondered a bit, a tear

Paused for a moment in fear

It was too late to reach the land

This is what I wanted, a hand

Found mine and began to pull, I knew

The water would begin to push through

I did not struggle and there was no fear

I floated down in solemn peace, near

The end I found truth and sighed, this

Is goodbye, please know it was bliss

This was amazing. I love how it rhymed, it sounded really mysterious. One of the best poems I've read!

I'm pretty stoned but for what its worth this s**t blew my mind. I love how the rhyme scheme doesn't cut into the natural diction much. a truly masterful composition!
