Silver Linings

Silver Linings

A Poem by Brenden Moran

On the horizon I see a cloud

A new day that is to come

Filled with all its silver linings

A forerunner to the sun

Hope appears amidst this cloud

Sparkling its golden glitter

Its rays beat down upon us

And rain drops a patter pitter

The rain darkens not the sky

But sprinkles upon the earth

With adoration unto the soil

And many plants are birthed

And the sun circles the earth

Providing light to us all

The plants and animals alike

Til behind the mountain it falls

For beside the clouds it sits

A silver lining its mark

Shining hope down below

And angels descend to hark
