Butterflies

Butterflies

A Poem by Brenden Moran

I see you in there tiny butterflies

Trying to sneak on me with your surprise

Tickling me and making me giggle

When you guys are so little

Bouncing around here and there

Moving around without a care

Distracting me with all your guiles

Always around to make me smile

Cause you know when I see her

My heart creates a stir

And you take this as a sign

You know her heart’s mine

But I’m in love don’t you see

Don’t laugh, just leave me be

She’s a cute girl that I adore

Who opened my heart’s door

So I let her walk right in

And there she lies within

Resting there safe and sound

Til you all go an pound

To make my heart beat

Every single time we meet

You silly fools, you’ll give me away

With your skipping around in disarray

But without you, how would I know

About this feeling that makes me glow

So thank you butterflies

For not telling lies

She is the one and this you know

The one who will never let me go

I love words as they sing in time with such poies and joy. Very well done. I would not do any changes.
