God's Gale

God's Gale

A Poem by Brenden Moran
"

A poem for the faithful

"

When many back away from the gale

It is us who must continue to sail

Through the waves of everyday

We haven't a rudder to guide our way

Tis but our endurance alone we stand

Until we reach the eternity land

Til then you must battle the wave

For the road we sail you cannot pave

Many have tried and few succeed

We all go where the wave doth lead

Whether fate is for or against our ship

It is our strength that we must equip

And when Satan storms come our way

We must hide fear and fight our way

For the waves that come crashing down

Are God's tests sure and sound

I would give you some advice, but I'm sorry to say that I have none to give. I loved the poem and thought it is well written, and beautiful.

The forced rhyme didn't always add to the piece, but the god-intensity in this is something I definately think you should continue to explore. The idea of some spiritual pressure upon us is quite delicious to me.
