Icecream TrucksA Poem by BreannaAutumnreally just nonsense, my thoughts.
I grew up to the smell
of fresh-cut wood, bonfires, and paperback books
I grew up on beer, horses, and motorcycles I grew up on comfy old couches, family ran towns, and sunny front lawns I chased those icecream trucks like I chased my dreams when I got older I raced around the house with my brothers like speeding bullets and we only sat still to share a barbequed dinner on our family's back porch I knew honesty and sincerity through the people that raised me and I learned that life's too short to be anything but happy © 2015 BreannaAutumn |
