Capital Ugly

Capital Ugly

A Poem by BreannaAutumn

This is an ugly town
with ugly people
and ugly faces
sneering my way

Can't you hear the outside world
can't you see its face
It's calling my name
telling me to come its way

This big bad world
can suck me in
because I'm done living quiet
I'm done living safe

I want to scream at the ocean's peak
and climb the tallest building
I want to touch the stars
and move place to place

Can't you see me now
In the planes window pane
Distancing myself from everyone
that has no say

The title on this one intrigued me, so I had to read it, and I really like it. I love poetry, and I'm not really great at it- which sucks, but I'll stick to prose, haha. I love reading poetry from people who are very talented, poetically. Keep up the good work!
