I Took A Walk

I Took A Walk

A Poem by Breezy

I took a walk to clear my head

And on this walk I found a bed,

And in this bed I laid my head

To sleep amongst a day of dread.

I went to sleep to clear my head,

But in my sleep I had a dream.

I dreamed I’d be forever dead,

I dreamed I was forever dead.

In this sleep I must not keep.

I must awaken from my sleep.

For if I don’t I’ll surely die,

But then again, I’m not alive.

I took a walk to clear my head

And on this walk I found a bed,

And in this bed I laid my head

To sleep amongst a day of dread.

I went to sleep to clear my head,

But in my sleep I had a dream.

I dreamed that I was all alive,

I dreamed that I would never die.

In this sleep I must not keep.

I must awaken from my sleep.

For if I live to see,

Another day of greed,

Another day of sorrow,

Oh curse you that which brings

The sun of tomorrow.

For if I live to see,

One more dreadful day,

I will not live at all.

I will not live at all.

In this sleep we must not keep.

We must awaken from our sleep.

For if we don’t,

We’ll surely die.

But then again, who’s alive?
