He pushed and pulled at the massive black door. A locked clicked and the door eerily swayed open. The entry way was littered with last year’s news, the walls painted with fresh blood as a sign of welcome. Doors creaked open slowly, then slammed shut. Ghostly figures dashed from end to end. A chilling wind of whispers drifted across the floor. Ghoul’s screeches heard from every angle. He heard loud heavy footsteps. thump, thump, thump. His heart began to race, palms began to sweat, and knees began to quiver. He sucked in a gulp of air, He could feel the shadow of the giant, feel his gaze, smell his breath. He let his breath out, opened his eyes. The giant began to speak… “ Welcome to High school!, do you need any help finding your classes?”
I wrote this in the point of View of a freshman. ( Which gladly I no longer am!! )
Titles weird, but all I could think was, " seriously, did I just write this?
Anyways every comment and opinion is greatly appreciated.

Well, that is certainly a different way of looking at high school. See I had a group of friends I was with, but when I started here at my new school as a sophomore, I knew no one. Other than family. And it scared the heck out of me, so this poem is quite literal. Great understanding. Good job!

A nice metaphor for the formidability of school or anything of any consequence in life. Vivid imagery which builds you up then you have to stop and smile as the meaning of the writing is revealed.
