Scars

Scars

A Poem by Bree

Broken heart and falling tears,

You have confirmed all her fears,

Now you can see it in her eyes,

Begging for help as she looks to the skies,

Will time wash away this pain?

Is there anything left for her to gain?

She starts to fall deep inside,

She's running out of places to go and hide,

Her scars have finally become to deep,

There are few secrets she has left to keep,

This clock ticks sorrow,

Will better days come tomorrow?

Or will tomorrow come at all?

Don't just watch, don't let her fall,

Every word they said left a mark,

She went to hide in the dark,

You didn't mean to cause this much harm,

But now you see the scars on her arm,

Now please try to understand,

It's time to pull her up and help her stand,

Everyone's different, you and me,

Scars aren't the way life's supposed to be.

Everybody got their own scars, all kinds and types, the ones that you can see on them and the ones you don't see at all, except in their eyes (as in from the broken hearts)

Anyway, it's a really nice writing piece you got there, so it's all good tho...

For someone who has suffered with self harm as I have, this poem runs very deep, and is true to how you do feel when in deep despair.
It flows really well, and i enjoyed reading it.
Keep writing. Dawn
