Didn't You Cry?

Didn't You Cry?

A Poem by Lynn

So many things had passed between us,
secrets,
kisses,
lies,
truths,
songs,
lyrics.
So, as I sit here, crying and strumming away,
in this quite empty bar.
The tears bring no sobs, they just leave tear stains upon
my heart shaped face.
Erasing your kiss marks, where your lies burnt through
such tough skin,
that knew it couldn't trust you.
You say I ruined your life,
but questioning,
didn't you ruin mine?
So, answer me this, babe.
Didn't you cry?
Unanswered questions sure aren't the answers.
Let me play this one last song,
here in this quite lonely bar.
Didn't you cry.

Um, Orlando Furioso, it's just a expression written for my friend.
Her now ex abuses drugs, told her he loved her, and then broke her heart.
It's just a simple writing piece for my friend...
Anyway,
thank you all.

Very sad and emotional, I like it. I typically don't like poems that don't have some sort of rhyme scheme, but I like this one. Keep it going :)

I hope not. Why should he? Would you feel better if he had? Is it that love-lust is a power game where one wins and the loser crys. To seek tears is as bad as to be drowned by one's own tears. We exaggerate the importance of the feelings that drive us to tears as to be reduced to tears is to be ineffective and to be ineffective puts us at a biological disadvantage. Hanky? Thought not.
