The Sandman p2

His whole life he has been surrounded by darkness and shadows.

Then she came along.

Her inner light shining so bright that it lit up the darkness that has always been his only companion.

He doesn't understand it.

Doesn't understand how he has survived so long without her.

Her light was warmth, it was life.

He cannot live without her, even if it meant neglecting his duties.

He was never meant to find love,

yet he found it.
