Little Ones

Little Ones

A Poem by Breana Seabrooks
"

Something everyone should be telling the little ones with the oblivious smiles.

"
The smiles come from far away.
They laugh
They smile.
They don't know what tomorrow brings.
I know they won't mind,
So long as
I am here with them.
Don't worry little ones,
The harm cannot come your way.
I am here to protect you.
Your smiles should never go away.

Hi Breanna. What a beautiful and moving poem you offer us. I can sense the love and caring inside you as I read this!!! The female of the species is the great protector for the young and you have eloquently described the fierceness in such a gentle tone. Love this!!!! alf

Ah, the innocence of little ones. It is sad though, that today children are warned so much of the dangers, that they can't roam as freely as did the children of the past.
Lovely poem.
