FearA Poem by Breana SeabrooksA poem that says why we are the way we are.I stared into the face. The one that stared back at me. A face I only knew as fear. It kept me there In my wake. It wouldn't let me pass. All I wanted was sweet release. A release from the world That had done so wrong. A release That would open the heavens For me and all to see. But that face of fear, It stared back at me. I dare not object it, For my fate could be sinister. I just sat there and looked. With that same fear etched on my face. It wasn't until Six days and seven nights That I came to realize, The fear that I feared, The face that stared at me, Was only me. A reflection inside That no one else could see. It was then and only then, That I could make my escape, And live my world in peace.
