A mothers loveA Poem by BreadrunA poem for my mum, totally from the heartThe only woman who owns my heart You are my mother, so clever, so smart Like the sun approaching east Its me you did unleash Into the world, It is untold The legacy I’ll show I praise your courage, so divine Always knowing your in my mind Showing me the way to be Standing proud much like a tree He wasn’t there, my drunken father But your all I need, past, present and hereafter You have enough love to show for two Holding me tight, reading whinny the pooh You admit you have imperfections God knows we have suffered tensions We argue too much That fact is true But I love you so much As I do your stew You’ve always tried your hardest Even when I slipped wayside Your love I surely harnessed With you by my side Your illness it does scare me Your death for sure would tear me Knowing your pain Is truly not feign I’m savouring every day I hope this poem lets you know How much your love has made me grow As I open my soul and let it bare You are my idol, no one compares
