Lucy was a girl of tenA Poem by BreadrunA poem about a girl who was stuck in an abusive familyLucy was a girl of ten She wrote her feelings with a pen Sadistic and possessed To a life that sure would test As she draws, her feelings clear Suddenly pulled by her ear Her mother furious at the things she see’s Her anger was the key I’ll break your hand you little cow Said her mother with a howl Put to bed without a meal Loved she did not feel With the sound of boots Lucy shook with fear For that fat b*****d daddy was here Unable to take that feeling once more She opened the window and blocked the door As daddy broke in she jumped with a cry Falling to her death hoping to fly As police inspected what happened that night They found a drawing that gave them a fright It was a picture of terror, of Lucy’s admission Finally putting her parents into submission
