Off Of The TrailA Poem by Alice Crypt; BrittanyThis poem is pretty much on how people get mislead off of good things and go into bad. And when they come back it's hard to get there.
So far you wander off the trail
The heaven break and the martyrs frail Lie in the dirt and squirm like a worm It’s the best you have now For life isn’t to blow down You tuck and roll off the muddy path And create an earthquake on the other half There is still a way to get back on the path Just leap over the crack and never look back Climb up the mountain even as you feel it collapse So you’re near the path And you never looked back But for some reason you’re feet do not touch the path So you squirm like a worm and frail like the martyrs until the heavens awaken and you’re sorry for your failures. © 2011 Alice Crypt; BrittanyAuthor's Note
