Sakura's sorrow

Sakura's sorrow

A Chapter by Alice Crypt; Brittany
"

Yay, my first chapter!! I hope you like it, i really got into the ending of it. Sadness, sadness.

"
Sakura shoved her face into her soft pillow. She screamed silently into it and crunched the edges with her fists. Turning her head to the side, tear stains and a bloody spot covered her pillow. She tapped the wound on her face. It burned. Pulling her hand away quickly, she sat up on her bed.

Sasuke really did get stronger.

She stared at her face in the mirror before her bed. It was scratched up with one long, oozing cut going along her cheek. Slight bruising enveloped her whole body.

She tried to stand up and fell limply to her knees and grasped hold of her bed sheets. Wincing at the pain in her knees, she gathered all of her strength and pulled herself up, limping out her room, clinging to the wall.

Maybe… maybe there is no chance of him coming back, she studied her cuts. She opened the medicine cabinet and pulled out an ointment and some pills. She popped two into her mouth and put the lotion on causing some of the bruising to disappear. Dry blood still clung to her face. Sakura grabbed a damp cloth, patted her face off and closed her eyes. Her hand glowed as it was placed over the slashes on her face. A tear rolled down her cheek. The healing was a great ordeal of pain since Sasuke used his chidori on his sword to hurt Sakura. A wound had remained bleeding and slightly unhealed and had a bandage placed onto it.

She slunk into her bed and pulled the covers over her head. She cried herself to sleep and woke up the next morning drowsy and more miserable than the day before.

Sakura went to her mirror the next morning and examined the cuts on her face. All but the one were gone. She got dressed and left her house quickly.

She arrived in a flower shop. A girl with blonde hair turned to greet her from arranging a bunch of flowers.

“Sakura!!! Oh, you look so tired. Didn’t get any sleep I’m guessing?” Ino asked. A saddened smile crossed her face. “I’m guessing it was about Sasuke and the fight?”

Sakura padded her foot on the ground and bit her lip, “yes…” She walked over and pulled a chair out to the counter and sat across from her. She placed her hands flat onto her lap.

“You say you don’t love or miss him… It’s a lie,” Ino stared at Sakura, awaiting her reaction.

“Well that was a nice 'hello',but if I admit to it…the pain will only be worse,” her vision blurred with tears.

Ino sighed and placed a hand onto Sakura’s, “no, it won’t. Everyone knows you miss him. Admit it.”

“I don’t…”

“Sakura.”

“I don’t miss him,” she stared sternly into her eyes.

“Well then why are you always getting upset whenever someone mentions SASUKE?! What about whenever you guys get into a fight with SASUKE!? You can barely even think of him without crying!!! You can’t think about him without getting upset!! ADMIT IT LIKE THE REST OF US!!!! YOU MISS HIM!!!” Ino squeezed Sakura’s hands and tears filled her own eyes.

“I miss him so much!! I can’t take this anymore!!!” Sakura screamed and slammed her hands on the table. Ino grabbed her face and lifted it up.

“There’s nothing you can do. He chose his own path, even if he came back, he would have to leave again because who would accept him? No one…” She looked into her eyes sadly.

“But…I...I…I NEED HIM!!!” Sakura ran out of the flower shop past Naruto.

“Sakura?!” He turned to Ino, “what happened?” Ino stood quiet and went back to arranging the flowers behind her.

Sakura ran past the gates of Kohnoha, tears flooding from her eyes. She dropped to her knees and cried into her hands.

“Why are you crying?”

Sakura lifted up her head and her eyes widened. She stared at the feet in front of her and slowly looked up.

“Sasuke,” her eyes welded up and more tears came from them.

He stared at her and then turned to walk away.

“No! Don’t go!” She scrambled to get up on her feet and ran to him.

He continued to walk, staying silent.

“Sasuke! Why won’t you come back?! We all miss you!” Sakura clung to his back and arm, scrunching the back of his shirt in her fist.

“Because... I detest Kohnoha.”

“Why?!”

“They made me kill my older brother!” He yelled and pushed her off of him.

She fell to the ground and sat up. “It’s not all our fault though!!! How were the rest of us supposed to know what happened?! Maybe you should have found out the whole story yourself!”

"Sakura, don't you ever get it? I'm not going home. Everytime you guys come after me, you gain more and more pain. If it's true that you love me, then you have gained the most."

Sakura looked down embarassed. This is true. "I'm not going after you just for my benefit, but Naruto's too! Your like a-"

"A what brother? I told Naruto a while ago, that I broke that bond, he was never family. My family is dead," he scorned.

"Yeah, because you killed the rest of it off! I don't care how much it hurts, you never had to leave kohnoha to get 'power'. Orochimaru was nothing but a waste of time, just like killing Itachi! You never actually thought about why he didn't kill you!"

Sasuke turned and slammed her down into the ground by her neck. “Shut up and go home before I kill you!” He stood up and went to walk away again.

“NO!”

He stopped short and yelled at her, “your always getting in the way Sakura. You can never do anything smart... You want to just let me kill you?” He took his sword and shoved it slightly into her skin where her heart is. A trickle of blood fell from it. “It would be the first smart thing you’ve done in a while.” Sakura gasped at his words and the cold blade. She pulled out of it and ran off back to Kohnoha.

She ran into her house and slammed the door shut. The door felt ice cold as she leaned against it and thought about what happened. She placed her hand over the cut on her chest and healed it. Her room was filled with cold air. looking towards the window, she sat on a little bench attached to the wall. The window was above it. She stared out at the sky.

The sun was already starting to set. She crossed her arms on her window sill and laid her head on top, watching the sun slowly fall beneath the curvature of the Earth. The clouds grew pinkish-purple. A soft breeze blew through her hair and she closed her eyes. A few leaves wisped through the air and into her room with blossoms. She remembered the night when Sasuke left, the night when he officially abandoned her on a bench. The same leaves fell…the same sun set…the same wind blew over them.

                 A different Sasuke left…
