Day 6: Contortion 2/17/13A Chapter by Alice Crypt; BrittanyInspiration from my bro cleaning her room XD
Clothes piled high in a corner of games,
Laziness not a part of this ruse, Book, movies, and games galore lay upon the floor in shame, A bag or two thrown among the rubble, reminiscent items of our amuse. But although it seems to be relatively unclean, These items are treasures with a place to keep, As I sit upon the bed the piles slowly become more lean, What a welcoming company on my feet. Two pictures with people close to heart to attest the act, She cut around them the way she cut around the room, With care and compassion, yet reluctant to react, It seemed to be the unwrapping of some cocoon. The piles were raw as they were slowly dispersed, Finding each and every rightful place whether from a loss or for what it was worth: A contortion of the mess and its personal convictions.
