Day 5: Steampunk Machine 2/16/13A Chapter by Alice Crypt; BrittanyWas having trouble today, but this is what I got.
Tick tock, tick tock,
The churn of the gears never stops, A simple in-tangible piece unlocked, Steam blowing out of cylinders polished and cradled in little pods. The gears turn slowly. Not a beat off in its psalms, Clanking into one another in clangs both weak and strong, Wires intertwining into bolts of bronze, Covered in copper plates all along. Old fashioned in a way is this machine, A dream of steam, foggy memories, It tugs along in cranks and spires, Up its track, heart pulsing with steamy arteries. At the heart a work of time, Wires intertwined with blue electrical sparks rolling through, Like strains of soul life racing to the end of the twine, The hands turn until the clock strikes twelve. The small circuits hum and wheeze on this little machine, A sulphuric burn of copper and bronze fill in the scene.
