DreamingA Poem by DreamerBeautiful dreams are often ours, Where love lasts for longer than hours. Life invites this joyful bliss, You feel no pain....instead a gentle kiss.
............Only to find that you have woken up. All felt now is a deep cutting pain, A sweetly sick longing for something you can't pay. You thought it was yours, but indeed, It was never yours, Nor was it ever yours to have. You feel the ache of losing a dear life, your heart is intruded by the sharpness of a knife. I have woken up, I no longer have a dream. It was swept away with the night, Un-hindered by my pleas and screams. .................To return to a dream after waking is quite impossible, for it's importance is never of any consequence. I will wait for the night, Wait for a dream, Wait for something like the heaven I had, Something that gives my eyes back their gleam. © 2013 Dreamer |
