A simplistic poem under no sleep

What's a rap without music?
Or a sky without blue
A lyric from from a song
Nobody knows the words to

You see music is the drug
That no one can overdose
It can help make you feel
Things you've never felt before

Its tune can change your mood
Its words you can remember
You could repeat it word for word
Reciteing every sounding letter

But without this magic we've known
Filling our ears with various tunes
Pain would fill the cracks
The empty lyrics bled through

So to the music of every kind
Every heart felt verse I've heard
Thank you is all I could say
A thank you is what you deserve

This would be a very good song, the rhythm is impeccable. I love to write on nights where I have trouble sleeping, but nothing turns out as good as this. Thanks for sharing!
