Eternal

Eternal

A Poem by Brandon Eaton
"

Some lyrics I jotted down before sleep. Inspired by transcendence.

"

Be close to me, my lucid dream,

when they come back for me,

they'll leave one less body.

When you walk out that door,

you make sure to line my casket with sulfur,

when I am set into the ground,

you make sure I am tied in the wires.

One less mind to sink in the soil,

if it takes me in, it will begin to coil,

set the mainframe to bring me back,

artificial life made from natural disaster.

Dream will become reality,

death will wake from its sleep,

and I will be seen,

one last time as I should be.

Don't hold back when I they tell you,

I am everything, but I am a defect,

no copy is ever the same,

something will always be wrong.

Dream will becoming reality,

death will wake from its sleep,

and I will be seen,

one last time as I should be.

I dig this. The first line of the 4th stanza might have a typo.
