In Search of.... ©A Poem by Brandon Henson 1990Alone he walks down darkest path, tired and shellshocked from lifes black aftermath.
Blood, sweat and tears stream down his face, battered and bruised by this ratrace.
As cloud gathers and rain pours, I stretch out my hand in search of yours, and as wind blows, tornados swirl, I look up to the face of a girl, then wildest dreams begin to unfurl.
Fingers wrap around my hand, never again will this life be bland.
Rains cease, sun breaks cloud, the love I have for you sets my heart a flutter, everytime we kiss I melt as if butter.
When we are together at last, when our wedding is past, forever more will my love for you last, funny to think of how it began, on a fire lit beach with the grasp of a hand. © 2011 Brandon Henson 1990Reviews
