A Tribute

This poem is a tribute to my favorite writer and poet. Died October 7, 1849.

This day today is the death day,
Of whom we all know for sure.
A man who would gladly say,
Quote the raven, "Nevermore."

He wrote in a flawless fashion,
And wrote with a fiery passion.
A man who never failed to inspire,
So a man we never fail to admire.

His tales of horror and mystery,
All of great American history.
His poems of death and love,
Reflecting all the stated above.

This man whom we all know,
As Edgar Allan Poe.
