Shadows of NightA Poem by Brandon ShieldsA poem relating to a constant fear of darkness that never seems to change no matter circumstances.
The owl is softly hooing,
Its pinions swiftly cuing. And with hints; And with reverance; To the darkness and the fright, Of the ghastly shadows of the night. Its perch is high; Its eyes a bright; 'Tis fleeting with the sky, 'Tis fleeting with the ghastly shadows of the night. And with the moon that's dimly lit, Gloomily grim, twisted And wicked thoughts of them, I am still not at ease one timely bit. Though some things never stop. Like the dripping of the drop. © 2014 Brandon Shields |
