After surviving the first battle, the 60th Fighter Squad finally relaxes. With the friendly help coming from the 5th Fighter squad, they get promoted to 15th Fighter Division from central command. The 15th Fighter Division consists of the 56th Fighter, 53rd Fighter, 52nd Defensive, and the 5th Fighter.

"Tower to all fighter pilots, report to conference room ASAP."

As the command was given, every fighter pilot cramed into a room. Once everyone was seated, Fred walked into the room. He stopped at a podium and spoke into the microphone.

"Pilots here today. We are now engaged in a war with the Allied armies of Habrig, Eagledown, Yellowhaven, and Pinetol. Erusea has deployed it's 99th, 82nd, and 51st army divisions. The marines deployed it's 78th reserve division, and the Navy is currently engaging just outside the border with it's 3rd carrier fleet. The entire military is mobilized for war. We are now going to be engaged in war with massive casualties on each side. On side notes, we have lost the command of the 43rd bomber squad, they joined with the 1st Bomber Division.

Our division will be intercepting any attackers around this base, so be prepared at anytime to lauch as the Tower gives the order. The base anti-air defenses will be updated, since we're using machine guns to shoot down jets. Our army is going to be passing through, their 8th Supply division will be carrying in SAMs [Surface-to-Air Missile] and better radar equipment.

The Navy will be passing near this area, they are going to blockade one of the rivers of Habrig. Along with the navy, the marines will be with them. They are going to setup a forward camp for the army to use. We will be protecting them while they setup camp, the marines are expecting firece resistence."

As Fred finishes, Farren sends a message to him. The message reads: Central Command has deployed it's E-690 to this location. An E-690 is the offensive radar aircraft, stationed high above the fight and able to detect planes, as well as missiles, and anything else that flys. It has the ability to jam radar and carry 6 air-to-air or air-to-ground missiles. The only time an E-690 gets deployed is when the military is going to lauch a full-scale attack near the base it gets sent to.

Farren sends a second message: The 12th Close Combat squad has been deployed to this base, make room for three more planes. Navy's 3rd carrier fleet has retreated, they won the battle. Allied 4th carrier group lost both carriers and three destroyers.

"Tower to base: 3 hits on radar, the 12th Close Combat squad has arrived."

With that, Fred dismisses the fighter pilots. As the pilots leave, they see the 12th Close Combat squad landing in the distance. The base now totals a population of over 100 pilots and 200 other people. Everyone went to their barracks and finally relax again.

Overnight, the Tower picks up a signal from the 102nd Scout squad. Closely behind them is 4 unknown planes.

Farren calls Fred, "Commander, we have 6 inbound planes, 2 from the 102nd scout squad and 4 unidentified. Alert the fighters?"

Fred replies, "Alert the base, launch Mitchell and three fighters. Keep several others on stand-by."

"Tower to base, this is an alert. Mitchell report to hanger #1 and bring three pilots. This is not a drill, repeat, this is not a drill"

As the alert was sounded, the siren went off. Everyone went to alert mode, and reported to their post. Mitchell picked three pilots and runs to hanger #1.

"Tower to Mitchell's squad, you are cleared for take-off. Wait for permission to fire."

"Roger that" Mitchell responded. As he took off, he got into formation with the other pilots. Flying towards the persured 102nd Scout squad.

"Tower to 102nd, please head in the direction you're currently heading. Please go full-speed, we have fighters en route towards your position."

102nd responds, "Roger, 4 Habrig F-18s are in persuit, we've tried to stay hidden, but the patrol got us. My squadmate's engine took a direct hit, so we can't go full-speed."

As the base tower get the message, Mitchell's squad gets sight of the 102nd.

"Mitchell reporting sight of 102nd, no planes in sight yet.... Wait, we've got them on sight, permission to fire?"

"Tower to Mitchell, permission to fire granted."

Mitchell gives the order to disperse and take a plane. As they get into position, Allied 8th Fighter Squad flys in, and engages Mitchell's squad.

"Mitchell to tower, Mitchell to tower, another squad has appeared. Request for reinfor...."

Mitchell never got to finish, he was swarmed with air-to-air missiles. Mitchell's squad never got to fire anything, they were shot down too quickly. The Allied 8th Fighter squad, along with Habrig's 78th Fighter Squad, disappeared from radar.

"Tower to Mitchell, Tower to Mitchell, come in over. Come in over..." The tower's message was broadcasted over the speakers of the base, they never got a response.

Rough days are ahead without their division leader, and best pilot.... what's to come?
