TransformationA Poem by PHFASCES
I can write about love.
Express my deepest desires, Create illusions of a perfect harmony, Take your mind and senses to the garden of Eden, Grow a silver tongue and let it slip, Allow my imagination to run wild. I could develop thesis papers on your perfections. With the right theory, turn your emotions into a rainbow. Bright colours, Beautiful radiation, A spectacle to my grey world, But right now it would be meaningless I can get dark too. I can sit and grieve, Express my anger, Paint masterpieces And sculpt my anger out, But, that too doesn't seem right. I would allow a forest to grow. A forest of emotions That dwells in the deep oceans. Refer to mythological texts to personify how I feel, Use crazy metaphors to explain my situation, But nothing. Rain clouds, Sunny days, Tornadoes dancing in harmony. Oceans raging on calm seas. Fires burning waters that extinguish fires. Contradictions building only to hit a dead end, Death. What has become of me? Why is it that my peak was my descent? Once my mind a world of mystery, Now a boring drama, Breaking apart, Growing dark as I become claustrophobic. Silence, As the cocoon closes. The caterpillar's grave Soon the butterfly's birth ground.
