The Seed

The Seed

A Poem by PHFASCES
"

A poem on hard times and trial we face that seem hopeless and daunting and how trusting in the Lord and his plans for you helps one realise the benefits of the trials.

"
They told him he would never grow.
Two seasons passed,
He hasn't seen the sun's glow.

He start to lose hope.
Panicking and stressed,
How should he cope?

Farmers want to dig him out.
He feels useless
Not Knowing that there is a drought.

Despite all the turmoil,
Small voice whispers, reassuring his success.
Later that month, he felt water in the soil.

As days pass and the water continues to flow,
His roots sprout out,
But his development is slow.

He mutters a silent prayer,
Begging for fast growth,
Although the more he pushes he just runs into failure

The earth slowly moves
His head peaks out
As he slithers out the earth's grooves.

Despite sunlight shining,
His will is broken
He looks up and starts crying.

He alone
All he sees is black land and dead trees,
At that moment he is then mind blown,
Had he not prayed, he'd be among the dead masses
Rotting away
Just another carcass.
He sheds a tear and shouts out his gratitude.
Once a hopeless seed
Now a symbol of hope.

Life without struggle. We wouldn't know real hope with failure. Thank you Sam Chaos for sharing your outstanding poetry.
