Sad LoveA Poem by PHFASCESWhen he first met her His heart blew up in awe Possessed by this strange spirit of infatuation He said to himself "I refuse to let the feeling pass. I refuse to be alone again. I know I can love her better than than others. I refuse the rejection and to sit by watching fools break her heart. I know my new quest and it's her love i am after" Words of self motivation. A young sweet intimate gentleman trying to claim the new found love of his life. Lost in this journey. All for a woman that will never accept him. His persistence growing stronger, but his infatuation blinds him from a sad reality. To her, he is merely there for comfort. His heart break kicks in. She is saddened at the assumption that no man will treat her right. Walking away and hurting the man that loves her the most. Her foolish decisions circulating her thoughts like angry wasps Tormenting her. Injecting venomous doubts in her mind. "What have i done to deserve such pain?" Two broken vases. In an abandoned building. Alone in a dark room as the winter's chill bites. Numb from depression Too sad to care for the cold. Two hungry souls. Love is their only craving. They hear their cries. Their eyes meet, yet they don't realise it. He is angry at her. She is ashamed to speak to him. "Why won't she accept me? I've been so good to her. Am I too kind? What is Wrong with me? Am I not attractive enough? Does she she enjoy the pain? Is she attached to drowning in pity? What"s her addiction to simpletons only seeking her sexual prowess? Why have I wasted so much time on her?" "What" wrong with me? Do I love too hard? Am I too submissive? Am I not good enough? Why do they always hurt me? Do good men exist or are they just a myth? I know one who is good, but will he even look at me now? He probably sees me as garbage." Questions within them. Assumptions and mixed emotions engulfs them. Patience and reason discarded. They both stand up and exit the room in opposite directions Not knowing they grieved together. As they depart, their heart slowly shatter beyond repair. A friendship has dies and disappears into thin air as the cold wind blows.
