Self Reflection

Self Reflection

A Poem by PHFASCES
"

This is a mash up or random ideas that just flew out as a freestyle

"
There the soul stands,
Watching every step that the body takes.
Palms to the face with each cynical deed the mind concocts.
Comforting the teary heart,
Clinging to the fragile emotions.
Heartbreak.

I was a spectator in my own world.
Sat by chained to imaginary shackles.
A prisoner of my own negative influence.
Lost in an illusionary concept the world taught me to refer to as love.
With each attempt some form of loss
And with each loss, that heart fell at a cost.

Lost in my own perversions.
Compensation for emotions never felt.
People's beacon of hope when wells ran dry.
I'm a dessert yet they see the oasis in plain site.
Portraits of love fading.
Vases of emotions.
Either broken, overflowing or unopened.
Bathed in cobwebs.
Silent confessions lost in the wind.

This is really good. I love how it speaks of love and thoughts, and it flows together nicely. Well done
