Dissolvable flavor Packet

Dissolvable flavor Packet

A Poem by Brandon2814
"

Just an odd poem I did for class several years ago. I got pretty good marks on it and it was enjoyed by the class.

"

Oh dissolvable drink mix packet,

Your conservative packaging and clever marketing ploys

Make you such a unique and profitable item.

If only we could all dissolve away like you

In the murky, murky waters.

Your ability to dissolve, to disappear in plain sight

It’s remarkable, almost magical.

You start life as a powdery substance

Only to change, to metamorphosis into something new

Something tasty, yet healthy for you.

Your packaging may say you are sugar free

Full of Splenda and promises

Full of carcinogens the rats may say.

To be fit, to be healthy on the go.

These are the promises you make,

Nothing more, nothing less.

Antioxidants are the new health food craze,

Destroying free radicals, promoting healthy cells

Providing excellent support for the body’s immune system

How can there be

This many benefits

from such

a small package?

Honey & Lemon you say?

Turning sweet, natural tasting substance

Into something unholy and powdery

Fake and unnatural,

Like water into wine.

Flavored water from powder,

Water into wine,

Carcinogens and antioxidants

oh what a conundrum you are

Dissolvable drink mix packet.

Let me know what you think, this was just a random poem I wrote years ago. Still working on the old stuff before I start the new stuff.
