![]() Roses and GodA Poem by Light![]() isn't it obvious!!!?![]() May 2011 I.
I watched a flower Bloom, wilt and die, And at no point was It lovelier than thy. Not when petals Crowned it’s glory In (k)nighted shades Of Gawdy yellow Nor when it’s laurels Waltzed with the wind As glory was wasted In gorgeous decay. No more than decor for Lonely rooms, how dare A rose ever be Compared to you? II. For you are God and I dare not question it. The Resurrection of Steel hearts give testament In rhythmic penance. Proof of the power of your touch. Righteousness in the Breath of your lips, as Your voice soothes the Afflictions of madness And the onset of insanity. I bear witness to Roses and God and Care not for flowers In presence of awe . III. O please pretty God be Pleased in my petty offering; A delicate dainty rose I meekly give to thee. Not to be adored for It’s wondrous beauty, But a reminder of futility God compared to anything © 2011 Light |
