Love

Love

A Poem by Light
"

the title says it all. i realize that the title in and of itself is very presumptuous, to think that this poem captures and describes the vast emotion of love that i would simply name it love! read it

"
January (2011)
I.
I held a match
To my hands today.
Matrimony made
Between man and flame;
Incensed skin and molten ash
Show hot displays of
Love ablaze.

II.
Oh bright, blushing,
burning bride;
I walk wounded
For all my days.
Chard hands bare
Witness to
Love of flames.

III.
Oh spreading fire
And torrid pain and
Oceans of passions
In engulfing flames.
A charcoal soul and
Black burnt skin shows
Love's touch, again.

IV.
A monument
To fiery lips
For each hot kiss
Scars my visage with
Inflammatory bliss

In pain your name,
Melted to my lips
Can love, be not, but this?

The pleasurable pain that comes with passion, burning like a wildfire...
"Oh bright, blushing,
burning bride;
I walk wounded
For all my days.
Chard hands bare
Witness to
Love of flames."
Awesome stuff! Another scintillating scorcher from your pen...you are genius when it comes to these fiery, simmering compilations! Great job, Light!

Wow.
Thats about allI can think to write right now.
You writing is extraordinary.
I love this poem.

In pain your name,
Melted to my lips
Can love, be not, but this?

These are my favorite lines. They just wrap the poem up nicely.
It always amazes my how you write such great poems.

Love the images here - I can't even begin to choose a just single line or phrase as a favourite...

love the images of and connections with fire, love and passion - or you could even read it as just ones complete fascination with fire itself... a flickering flame dancing over skin - burning delicately - but you can't resist the heat of its painful kiss...

A stunning poem, I love it - really.

I love it...in all your poems love is like vision of fire and pain, the pain and burning are essences and substances of love, so it`s strong, touching ..and felt from everyone....and I like the final question :)

i have always enjoyed your way with words... the fiery fairy leaving inflammatory bliss seems to be painful and yet you are enjoying it... but the scars are visible, my friend..
