This is truly phenomenal. Part of me wants to say that I don't really know what she means, either... though another part of me thinks I'd be that girl. It depends on if you intended for her to be singing in symbols/metaphors or if the words should be taken literally. Her song makes me think of society. People who don't realize what's going on just look at it and see all of these great things (sort of a rose colored glasses deal)... but those who read between society's lines can see that it's actually slowly falling, ready to crash in some ways. Or at least that's their opinion of it.
Anyway, I'm rambling. You really hit home with this one.. it has a perfect flow to it, so its impossible to miss a beat. Great imagery as well. Love it. :)
i think it means over-evolved technology :) - we've got too used to take everything for granted - are you feeling a bit isolated because of the consciousness? :)
The tree represents death and it's connection to life as all the dead things continue to grow.Is this what you were describeing?
I like to figure the poem out.The more the poem leaves for me to ponder on the more I like it.I like this poem and hope that I captured it's meaning

Ahh, the melancholy of nature. Expressed very well in this poem, good job. The refrain formed by the pains of nature's destruction. Music to someone's ears it must be. Or at least when it comes along with the sound of money. Anyway, great poem, looking forward to more poems of yours. Again, really an intriguing and fascinating poem.
And such intriguing thoughts you had! Dark and a tad strange, perhaps even sad, but your words are singing to me - like the tree sang to you...melancholy, but
oh-so beautiful!
My thoughts, my ideas and perception; this is all I am. I try to reflect those things in my writings. enjoy it or don't, but i sincerely hope you do.
