An epiphany I had while playing around with building blocks
Blocks (October 2010)
My father gave me blocks And said "build to the sky." So I stacked upon his thoughts; Knowledge supported blocks, And built a tower so gaudy That it violated the law.
A testament to volition As Adam overthrew God.
Jesus watched and wept, While Adam and Eve slept. Fruitfully, they multiplied And the weeping Jesus Was crucified and religion Became privatized
And Adam was finally God. Humanity came to applause.
I blankly stare at my father; No longer lost in thought. I look at the gift he's given me; A lovely set of blocks. He walks away and softly says "Son, build to the sky."
I stack each block upon itself Accompanied by a subtle sigh.
"and religion became privatized"? :))))
aside the smiles this poem also gave me a feeling of awareness that few poems did, regarding our nature on earth, our nature in general and nature surrounding us :)...so to say :).
nicely done dear :).

My thoughts, my ideas and perception; this is all I am. I try to reflect those things in my writings. enjoy it or don't, but i sincerely hope you do.
