Out Of Sight

Out Of Sight

A Poem by Brandon Hontz
"

It's an Emily Dickensan style poem.

"

Faultering -

Pressure - Building up --

Pressure - we're folding over - ever so nicely -

making paper cranes out of our creases - -

The colours --

they Drain from our faces -

we're Pouring into the streets -

into the gutters, and Out Of Sight --

Much like midnight --

we're sitting on the edge of night - and day -

of light - and darkness --

of Life - and Eternal Sleep --

shall we Play a Game -

shall we twist - and turn -

and teeter - on Such A Thin Space? --

There's not much room --

not much for improvement -

nor much for failure --

there's not much room -

Not Enough To Build Off Of -

Not Enough to Create --

There's only enough now to Dream -

and let thnigs be as They Were Meant -

with the stars in the sky -

the fish in the ocean -

and me left here, Teetering --

on the very Brink Of Existence.
