The Fate of Us

Tell me what you see when you look into my eyes,

If you could look into my soul you'd know I'm tired of the lies,

I'm sick of this crazy world, where not even a school's safe,

Sometimes I wonder if the world's always been such a cruel place,

With mass shootings, terrorism, children being sold as sex slaves,

racism and hate crimes,  makes me wonder what's to be the next craze,

Wonder if my best days are behind me, or if in time more great days will find me,

but blindly hoping for the best is getting tough, it's rough, 

It sucks but now watching the news makes me nauseous,

I've always been honest and up front, no matter what the cost is,

maybe I lost it, but I'm killing myself if Trump's elected to office,

He's sexist, he's racist and a bigot, 

every speech he spews hate, somebody please turn off the spigot, 

We need peace, the world is demanding relief,

And we need somebody with resolve and a good heart to be Commander and Chief,

But all I see is a problem when I look at our choices,

People used to care enough to make them hear our voices,

Now the only voices I hear are the ones placing blame,

You're Uninformed, don't do the research so you sound insane when you try to explain-

the view of some news anchor you saw on the TV, 

But if I told you I ruled the world, would you believe me?

What if I said I have a bridge to sell in Brooklyn and tower in Paris?

If you think that all the news is true, well, then you should be embarrassed, 

Do your part, All I'm asking is for you to examine the facts,

The fate of the world is on our hands, and it can't take many more damaging acts,

So read up, put your feet up and learn about the candidates,

pick the least worst and hope for the best-- We can't afford to miscalculate...

Your thoughts and words need to be re-posted. The election 2012. Obama won because the voters don't pay attention. This election will be different? I hope we gain wisdom before putting amad man into the white house.

It's like you've looked into my own recent thoughts! Trump is an embarrassment to our country and the fact that he's winning states makes me extremely, extremely nervous. I often wonder what will become of me and what will become of us. All the more reason to live each day to it's fullest right? :) Well done!

Thank you for your review, and I am terrified of Trump winning. I'm also terrified of most of the other candidates winning, too. I fear where we are headed. Most people don't realize that a couple other countries have been quietly moving the proverbial chess pieces, strategically setting things up in order to gain more power and position themselves in as the world's strongest superpower. People don't realize that this is happening, and don't realize this means that another large scale war is not too far away. We need someone that can handle very tough situation and maintain calm, determined, and confident-- but not cocky. Anyway, I could go on and on and on, and I don't like publicly speaking about politics, so i'll stop now
