The CandleA Poem by Brad NugentWritten for the Creative Poetry group: using the words flame, imprint, quiver, arrow, pursue, contrive, subjugate, ambrosial, voluptuous, indulgenthave you ever stared into the depths of a candle flame for such a time you could see the imprint quiver still dancing even when you shut your eyes have you ever dared to just inhale the ambrosial scent of molten wax and contrived to pursue fantasies hidden long inside indulgent thoughts have you ever cared enough to love subjugated self to other's want succumbed to voluptuous intent felt that arrow shot into your heart and are you then besotted and sure so prepared to give it all away for the one who lights the candle true just to guide and show your soul the way
