Meeting On A Stormy NightA Poem by Brad Nugentfragmented glass behind the bar betrays a collage of splintered bottles it must be somebody's idea of art neo-maxi modernist fusion or perhaps surreal delusion demystifying the sober reality but still you said you liked the place so I agreed to find you there fashionably late as usual you sauntered inside and stirred the stale air all Holly Golightly breezy and well behind leaving the nobodies enclosed in peak hour cocooned combustible rage the nobodies covered with plastic wrapped and sheltered from angry rain all weaving and woven long paths intersecting the wavering lines and splashing the surveyed refractions of neon into a nether worldly state of melodramatic demise where things remained but never stayed a universe where we don't collide at the corner of Picasso and de Sade.
