Boy At Play

Boy At Play

A Poem by Brad Nugent
"

Written for Albert's Poetry Cafe's 10 Words: create, pattern, twirl, window, butterfly, senses, breath, tea, light, bare.

"
a vague reminiscence
nothing more than bare memory
emerging from a winter's day
with senses too numbed
to be tempted by tea

blowing butterfly breath
with dragon bravado
on a borderless window
to create patterns
illusions, a warrior's crest

and then crushed to find
it was nought but a twirl
a light fancy at best
made with finger and air
and a magic-filled breast

Very sweet... with an air of wistful nostalgia! A good use of the words
