Rest

Rest

A Poem by Boy of the red
"

Its a poem I wrote from a dream I have quite frequently

"
Rest
Take thy eternal rest my son
The nightmare of life has already won.
Your girl is gone, she doesn't want you anymore.
She has found someone else and thought you a w***e.
There was no reason to stay.
Sleep, you have escaped the hell.
I will not cry, I will not weep,
All I want to know is why?
You took your life and that's okay,
It was your own price to pay.
You wore your mask for so long,
I had forgotten your true face.
It was once beautiful and happy
So carefree and real .
Then more and more,
You wore that god forsaken mask!
I wish I could ask,
What happened to you?
When I saw you hanging
I swear it could not be true
You had your wrists slit
And jumped from the chair
A leap of faith?
It is to much to bare.
Life had deceived you son.
And my death will show you,
You are not the only one.
