as you gaze upon this structure, you've been beheld

as you gaze upon this structure, you've been beheld

A Poem by r. f. jordan

all that has, has beheld you:

has beheld you in traffic toward moons

has beheld you in acid burnt through spoons

has beheld you in bold bricks built of swoons

has beheld you in all beauty born of runes

has beheld you in the fear within the furious

has beheld you in the faith within the curious

has beheld you in mantras from the delirious

has beheld you in jokes told by the serious

has beheld you in burnt paste upon foil

has beheld you in entrails of blown oil

has beheld you swallowed by the tell of soil

has beheld you followed by the swell of toil

has beheld you in gazes of muttering sheikhs

has beheld you in how their smile breaks

has beheld you through mythical ladies in lakes

has beheld you in what such magic forsakes

all that has, has beheld you.

. oh gosh ... it really has ... every poem i have ever read has read me ... and every poem i have written has re-written me ... and of course ... this applies to absolutely everything ... what a powerful word this word "beheld" is ... and, of course, you have done justice to it ... and all the images you've etched are stunning ... absolutely stunning ... you always remind the reader of many things the reader might have missed ... thank you yet again, dear poet ...
