The Wooden Bridge.

The Wooden Bridge.

A Poem by BowlofSarah

The ocean it’s calling me to it

I can feel its ties like a wooden bridge leading me towards it

Towards the ocean's peace and serenity

Towards its gentleness and strength

To its beauty.

If I breathe deeply

I can smell its salty mist combine with the sand

And if I focus I can feel a wave reach out and touch my feet

I can feel the sand brush up against my shins

And the ocean washing it away

Then I can feel its rhythm

Slowly pushing forward

Then pulling back

Pushing forward

Then pulling back

Over and over.

So graceful yet with great power.

Oh how I want to walk that wooden bridge.

Oh how bad I want to be able to walk to the ocean

At this very moment

It would be my heaven

It would be the thing to offset my peace

Into wondrous swirls of passion and ease

Oh if I could only walk that wooden bridge

I would be more in touch with my spirit

I would be a source of inspiration

Like no other has seen

Solely because of the peace that would be inside me

It would spill and cover my canvas

It would shine so bright in my eyes

Even in the darkest of times

That peace can be the light

And I can be its beacon

If only I could walk that wooden bridge

I could be God's deacon.

A lovely write, and feeling the ocean waves is described beautifully.

This makes me experience what it is like to feel longing, and also be near the ocean. I enjoyed reading this, great job.
